New Delhi, June 14 :  Delhi Power Minister Satyendar Jain has asked industrialist Anil Ambani, chairman of Reliance Group, to come up with a concrete plan on behalf of two power distribution companies in the city to address electricity outages.

In a letter dispatched on Tuesday, Jain said the power situation in the city, where BSES is responsible for two-thirds of electricity supply -- through BSES Rajdhani and BSES Yamuna -- has been seeing unprecedented outages despite the availability of adequate power, and repeated meetings with senior officials, and even warnings.

"You are requested to come immediately for a meeting with the undersigned with a concrete road-map on how you plan to improve the situation. I hope to see you sometime next week," said the letter from Jain, addressed to Ambani.

The letter also went on to contend that there was no improvement in the power situation despite stern warnings to senior officials, including the chief executives of the companies.

The minister alleged there was a failure on the part of BSES to bring world-class power systems in the national capital, with lower tariff.

BSES did not respond to the letter.
