Indian, Pakistani armies exchange Eid sweets on LoC
Jammu, July 7 The Indian and Pakistani armies on Thursday exchanged sweets and greetings on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.
"On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, army representatives of India and Pakistan exchanged sweets at Poonch-Rawalakot Crossing Point and Mendhar Hot Spring Crossing Point in Krishna Ghati Sector of the LoC in J&K," Colonel S.D. Goswami, spokesman of the Indian army's Udhampur-headquartered Northern Command, told IANS.
He said the exchange of sweets is expected to go a long way in promoting harmony and bonhomie and strengthen efforts towards maintaining peace and tranquility along the LoC.
