Turkey coup death toll touches 90

Ankara, July 16 The death toll in Turkey's attempted military coup has risen to 90 with the number of injured going up to 1,154, state-run Anadolu News Agency said on Saturday.
A prosecutor said 42 people were killed in capital Ankara's Golbasi district.
The coup plotters killed 17 policemen in an attack on the Gölbasi Special Forces Department headquarters.
Two employees were killed at the Turkish satellite operator TÜRKSAT also located in the same district, Hurriyet Daily News reported.
Meanwhile, police have detained 1,563 people over coup charges.
Broadcaster CNNTürk said four of them were generals and 29 of them were colonels.
Brigadier General Ekrem Caglar, chief of the staff operations of the 3rd Army has also been detained, officials added.
