media -lawyers stand off would end: chief justice designate
Kochi, July 31 The Chief Justice designate of the Kerala High Court, Mohan M. Shantanagoudar, who will be sworn in on Monday, hopes the issues between the media and lawyers will be sorted out.
Shantanagoudar said this to the media after his arrival here on Sunday.
"I am a newcomer here but I am optimistic that things will be settled... I will speak to my fellow judges about everything," he said.
Tension prevails between the lawyers and the media for the past two weeks in Kerala. At one time, some lawyers and journalists even came to blows.
