Babbar, Dikshit visit Sonia in hospital

New Delhi, Aug 4 

Various Congress leaders, including Raj Babbar and Sheila Dikshit, visited party President Sonia Gandhi, who has been admitted to the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital here following fracture and dislocation of her left shoulder, said sources.

Dikshit visited Gandhi around 6.30 p.m on Thursday while Babbar turned up around 9.30 p.m.

"Priyanka Vadra and Rahul Gandhi are with Sonia only since Thursday morning, but several other leaders are visiting her, " said the source.

Gandhi was admitted to the Ganga Ram Hospital on Wednesday following fever, dehydration, high pressure and fracture and dislocation of shoulder bone, during a visit to Varanasi for a road show

She also underwent treatment for her fractured shoulder, which was performed by internationally acclaimed team of experts, comprising of Sanjay Desai from Mumbai and Prateek Gupta from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.

Sonia undergoing treatment for shoulder injury

 Congress President Sonia Gandhi, admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital following dehydration and fever, is also undergoing treatment for a shoulder injury, said a doctor.

An internationally acclaimed team of shoulder experts, comprising of Sanjay Desai from Mumbai and Prateek Gupta from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, is attending on her, said D.S. Rana, Chairman of the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital Board of Management. 

Sources in the hospital said Gandhi suffered fractured dislocation of the left shoulder during her rally in Varanasi.

Rana said that all health parameters of Gandhi were showing improvement and she will soon be shifted out of the ICU.

Earlier, Gandhi, who took ill in Varanasi on Tuesday, was admitted to the Army Research and Referral Hospital. She was shifted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on Wednesday.
