Pranab wishes people on Raksha Bandhan

New Delhi, Aug 17 President Pranab Mukerjee on Wednesday greeted the people on the eve of Raksha Bandhan, and urged that on the occasion the people should resolve to ensure that women and girls in the country feel safe and secure always.
"May the Rakhi festival strengthen fraternal feelings and the spirit of oneness in our society as we strive collectively for the well-being of our people.
"... this unique festival inculcate in us the need to protect the women in our society and promote their welfare. Let us on this occasion resolve to ensure that the women and girls of our country feel safe and secure at all times," Mukherjee said.
