Key Indian equity markets trade flat in afternoon session

Mumbai, Sep 2: The key Indian stock market indices were trading flat on Friday afternoon.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was trading 2.35 points or 0.03 per cent up at 8,777 points.
The Sensex of the BSE, which opened at 28,498.72 points, was trading at 28,459.78 points (at 1.16 p.m.) in the afternoon session, up 36.30 points or 0.13 per cent from the previous day's close at 28,423.48 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 28,525.87 points and a low of 28,427.63 points in the trade so far.
Good buying was observed in auto and realty sectors, while selling pressure was seen in metal and energy sectors.
The S&P BSE auto index moved up by 1.02 per cent and realty index got augmented by 0.96 per cent, while metal index dropped by 0.95 per cent and energy index fell by 0.94 per cent.
