Horror genre sufficient to grab attention: Mahesh Bhatt
Mumbai, Sep 9: Film maker Mahesh Bhatt believes the horror genre itself is enough to grab viewers' attention, and that is one of the reasons why such films don't need stars.
"People who make horror films realize that this genre itself is sufficient to grab the attention. So that's the reason they don't feel the need (of stars)... That is why there are no stars when it come to horror films," Mahesh Bhatt told IANS.
He is currently busy promoting his next horror film production "Raaz Reboot", which is directed by Vikram Bhatt and stars Emraan Hashmi, Kriti Kharbanda and Gaurav Arora. It will release on September 16.
At 67, Mahesh Bhatt is in absolute sync with the new generation.
Asked how he manages to cope with the demands of the new generation, he said: "I don't think you can possibly be dumped into the age... You have to keep yourself in sync with the uncertainties that come with time. If you are willing to reconstruct it and adapt it to the changing times, then the chances are you stay relevant."
