Aamir, Anushka congratulate Thangavelu for winning gold

Mumbai, Sep 10 Bollywood stars Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma congratulated Mariyappan Thangavelu on winning a gold medal in the men's high jump T-42 event at the Rio Paralympics.

"Congratulations Mariyappan! You have done India proud. Thank you. Love. A," Aamir tweeted on Saturday.

Anushka posted: "Congratulations Mariyappan Thangavelu and Varun Singh Bhati on the absolutely stellar performance and on creating history... Paralympics".

Thangavelu created history on Friday night by winning the gold medal.
