Working with Shabana Azmi a learning experience: Ashmit Patel
Mumbai, Sep 17 : Actor Ashmit Patel, who will be seen in "Ek Maa Jo Laakhon Ke Liye Bani Amma", says working with veteran actress Shabana Azmi in the new TV show, is a great learning experience for him.
"Working with Amma (Shabana Azmi) is like a celebration for me. I am enjoying every bit of the shooting because the cast and crew is very supportive. Especially with Shabanaji, it is an unbelievable experience for me," Ashmit said here.
"Every day I am learning something from her," he added.
Ashmit said his family shares a long-standing relationship with Shabana as his father and she had acted together in a play. Also, Shabana's late father and Ashmit's grandfather were close friends.
"Life has come a full circle for me as I am now working with Shabanaji. From three generations, we are getting the opportunity to closely be associated with Shabana ji and her family," he said.
Zee TV's show "Ek Maa Jo Laakhon Ke Liye Bani Amma" narrates the journey of an ordinary woman named Zeenat, who is ditched by her husband during partition, but faces challenges and bounces back with her strength, to emerge as an inspiration and leader of the masses.
While Shabana will play the role of Zeenat, Ashmit will be seen playing Shabana's onscreen adopted son Faisal.
Shabana will turn a year older on Sunday. And Ashmit has wished her good health and happiness.
"I wish to work with her again. Thank you Amma for being a part of my journey and helping me to grow as an actor," he said.
