Lost weight to play Bhallala Deva's younger version: Rana Daggubati
Chennai, Oct 4 : Actor Rana Daggubati, who is losing and gaining weight for his film roles like it's a cakewalk, says he had shed weight to play the younger version of his character Bhallala Deva from "Baahubali: The Conclusion".
"The older Bhallala is stronger and beefier, so I weighed around 108-110 kg for some portions in both the films. His younger version is strong too, but leaner. So I lost a few kilos for that. My weight has dropped to 92-93 kg now," Rana said in a statement.
Going by an image Rana has shared on his Twitter page on Tuesday, he looks bigger and meaner for the second part of the film.
Having been training for two and a half hours daily over the last five months, he said: "I've been shuttling between cardio and weight training."
Rana's diet, monitored by his trainer Kunal Gir, has been high on carbs and proteins and oil free.
"I eat every two and a half hours and there's a nutritionist present around the clock. He conducts regular check-ups to ensure that we are on the right track," he said.
Directed by S.S. Rajamouli, "Baahubali: The Conclusion" will finally reveal why Kattappa killed Baahubali.
The film also stars Prabhas, Tamannaah Bhatia, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan and Sathyaraj.
