Sundar C encouraged me to be an actor: Adhi

Chennai, Oct 12: Composer Adhi of Hip Hop Tamizha duo, who is making his acting as well directorial debut with upcoming Tamil film "Meesaya Murukku", says actor-filmmaker Sundar C encouraged him to face the camera.
"As an independent artiste and composer, I was happy directing music videos. I had directed a music video on the ban on Jallikattu, and it was after seeing my work that Sundar sir insisted that I act," Adhi told IANS, and added that it was around the same time, he was working on a story.
"I pitched the story to him and he immediately agreed to produce it. Since it's my story, I had decided to direct it on my own. I felt I could do justice to my story more than anyone else. Sundar sir supported my decision," he said.
The film stars mostly newcomers apart from actor-comedian Vivekh in an important role.
Debutante Aathmika plays the leading lady.
