Former Brazil striker Jo joins Corinthians
Rio de Janeiro, Nov 1 : Former Brazil international striker Jo has signed a three-year contract with reigning Brazilian Serie A champions Corinthians, the media reported.
Jo agreed to terms after completing a medical at the club's Joaquim Grava training venue in Sao Paulo on Monday, Xinhua news agency reported citing the Folha de S.Paulo newspaper.
The six-time Brazilian champions secured Jo on a free transfer after the 29-year-old parted ways with Chinese Super League outfit Jiangsu Suning in July.
He scored nine goals in 24 matches for Jiangsu Suning, having joined the club in February from United Arab Emirates side Al-Shabab.
Jo began his professional career at Corinthians before joining CSKA Moscow in 2005.
The former Manchester City forward has been capped 20 times for Brazil, scoring five international goals.
