Experimentation paves way to creativity: Sshivada

Chennai, Nov 8 : Actress Sshivada says the box office failure of her last, critically-acclaimed Tamil outing "Zero" will not stop her from experimenting with roles. She believes experimentation paves way to creativity.

"I definitely felt bad that 'Zero' didn't do well. My director and I expected it to be embraced by the multiplex audience but it was too late before they warmed up to the film. Most of them watched and appreciated the film after it was taken out of cinemas," Sshivada told IANS.

She expected more from the film.

"The result won't stop me from experimenting. There's no rule that you need to make a certain kind of film in the Tamil industry. Experimentation paves way to creativity and as filmmakers and actors, it's very important for us," she said.

Her effort in "Zero" didn't go in vain. It landed her the lead role in upcoming Tamil thriller "Adhe Kangal".

"It was after watching my performance in 'Zero' that director Rohin Venkatesan approached me with 'Adhe Kangal'. It's the kind of film where the script and the director have prominent parts to play more than the actors," she added.

She is all praise for debutant director Rohin.

"He is sure about what he wants from his actors. He comes with the kind of passion that brings lot of energy to the unit," she said.

Currently on the floors, "Adhe Kangal" also stars Kalaiarasan, Janani Iyer and Kaali Venkat.
