Travelling is a way of finding oneself: Varun Dhawan

Mumbai, Nov 9: Actor Varun Dhawan says travelling is not all about being a tourist, but getting on the path to becoming a wanderer.
"Travelling is a way of finding oneself and one cannot do that by simply being a tourist. It's all about getting beyond that initial phase of being a tourist and becoming a wanderer," Varun, whose professional commitments keep him on the go, said in a statement.
Varun, who is in Singapore to shoot a film with actress Alia Bhatt, added: "A wanderer sets out to do something remarkable and will always get off the beaten track to really discover a place."
The actor, brand ambassador of Skybags, will be judging a digital campaign for the luggage-maker titled Wacky Wanderers -- which asks people to share their quirkiest and offbeat travel plans. The actor says he is looking forward to some crazy ideas.
Wacky Wanderers is being launched on Wednesday through a special micro-site at skybags.co.in where participants need to share their quirkiest and offbeat travel plans.
The concept is to get travellers to think creatively about their travel plans in India and come up with quirky ways in which they would want to experience a place differently. Varun will personally review all the entries and decide the winner whose wacky idea will be brought to life by the brand.
"This is a great opportunity for travellers to have their craziest travel plans fulfilled. I am really excited to see what participants come up with," he said.
In order to participate, users have to log on to the micro-site and submit their entry which they will be able to share on their social media pages.
