Brazil recall defender Fabio Santos for World Cup qualifier
Belo Horizonte, Nov 12 Brazil coach Tite has called up Atletico Mineiro left-back Fabio Santos for the upcoming World Cup qualifier against Peru in Lima on Tuesday.
The 31-year-old was drafted into the squad on Friday to replace Marcelo, who is suspended after receiving a yellow card in the Selecao's 3-0 victory over Argentina here on Thursday,reports Xinhua.
Santos has been capped three times for Brazil since his international debut in 2012.
Brazil lead the South American zone World Cup qualification standings with 24 points from 11 matches.
The top four teams at the end of the qualification tournament will book a spot at the 2018 World Cup in Russia while the fifth-ranked side will earn a playoff berth.
