Shot songs in Dhanush's film without composer: Gautham Menon
Chennai, Nov 13 : Filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon and Dhanush have teamed up for upcoming Tamil romantic actioner "Enai Nokki Paayum Thota", and its songs have been shot even before the composer could be finalised.
"We still haven't finalised the composer because we haven't found one yet. Strangely, I went ahead and shot the five songs in the film. I had references in my mind and shot the songs as montages. Even Dhanush was fine with the idea," Gautham told IANS.
Known for working with composers such as Harris Jayaraj, A.R. Rahman and Ilayaraja, Gautham said a new collaboration can be expected.
"We are not trying to keep the name of the composer a secret. We just plan to reveal it differently. Instead of announcing via a poster or a press release, we're planning to announce it with the songs," he said.
Nearly 85 per cent of the film has already been completed.
"We have one more schedule in Mumbai. If everything goes as planned, we hope to release it in the beginning of next year," he added.
