Pakistan take 62-run lead vs NZ in 2nd Test
Christchurch, Nov 19: Pakistan scored 129/7 in the second innings, taking their lead to 62 runs, on the third day of the first Test match against New zealand at the Hagley Oval here on Saturday.
Asad Shafiq (6) and Sohail Khan (22) were at the crease when umpires called-off the day's play.
For the hosts, Trent Boult scalped three wickets while Neil Wagner took two wickets.
Earlier, Resuming the day 104/3, Pakistan's Rahat Ali ran through the Kiwi's middle and lower order to wrap-up their innings for 200.
New Zealand started the day's proceeding on a poor note as over-night pair Henry Nicholls and Jeet Raval, who top scored with 55, were dismissed inside four overs.
At the last, Southee and Wagner tried to stable the Kiwi's innings but could not add much to the score.
Ali took four wickets while Mohammad Amir and Sohail Khan contributed with three wickets each for Pakistan.
Jeet Raval was the highest scorer for the hosts with 55 runs for the hosts.
