Sharing stage with Chris Martin dream come true: Ayushmann
Mumbai, Nov 19: Actor Ayushmann Khurrana, who is all set to host the Global Citizen Festival India here, says sharing the stage with British band Coldplay's frontman Chris Martin is a dream come true.
"Meeting Chris Martin was part of the bucket list and sharing the same stage with him is like a dream come true, and I met him yesterday (Friday) and I told him that I perform his song 'Yellow' for my concerts and he was quite happy about it," Ayushmann told IANS over phone.
The 32-year-old actor says he is looking forward to a "phenomenal reponse".
"I am looking forward to phenomenal response. It's already crowded here and it will fill up to 75,000 to a lakh by the evening," said an excited Ayushmann.
The fest will be headlined by Coldplay, Jay Z, Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif, A.R. Rahman, Farhan Akhtar, Shraddha Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Arijit Singh, Dia Mirza, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and Monali Thakur.
The gala, set to take place at the MMRDA grounds here, is focused on creating an impact in areas of education, equality, clean water and sanitation.
Ayushmann says he will be anchoring the gala with his "Meri Pyaari Bindu" co-star
Parineeti Chopra.
"I am anchoring with Parineeti and the fest focuses on sanitation, education and poverty and we I think we have said a lot about it," he said.
GCFI will also feature international artistes like The Vamps and Demi Lovato.
Among other Indian celebrities who will be present at the gala are Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Freida Pinto, Alia Bhatt and Sonakshi Sinha.
