A big salute from Mohanlal for Modi's demonetisation move
Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 21 : Superstar Mohanlal has given a "big salute" to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decision to demonetise high value currency notes.
He said personally for him and the film industry the decision might not sound good but for the good of the country, he was ready to face the difficulties.
"The latest 'surgical strike' by Modi should be seen from the perspective for building an 'honest India'," the superstar, who also holds the rank of a Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army since 2007, wrote on his blog on Monday.
"I have never idolised individuals at all instead I have always idolised ideas and I see the latest move as one such one. There could be teething problems to begin with, but in the long run, this is expected to do good," Mohanlal wrote on Monday.
He is currently shooting for his next film in the interiors of Rajasthan.
