Angela Bassett joins 'Black Panther' cast
Los Angeles, Nov 22: Actress Angela Bassett has joined the cast of the Marvel Studios' superhero film "Black Panther".
Bassett will play Ramonda, mother of T'Challa, otherwise known as Black Panther, according to the message posted on the studio's website, reports eonline.com.
Bassett has joined a list of actors, including Chadwick Boseman, who will take on the starring role after making his debut as Black Panther in "Captain America: Civil War".
The cast also includes Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o, Forest Whitaker, Daniel Kaluuya, Winston Duke, Florence Kasumba and Danai Gurira.
Shooting is slated to begin in January.
"Black Panther" is set to hit theatres in February, 2018.
