Amit Shah admits 'suffering' due to note ban
Almora (Uttarakhand), Nov 22: BJP President Amit Shah on Tuesday admitted that "people are suffering" due to demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes.
"I can understand that people are suffering due to the note ban," Shah told a rally ahead of the Uttarakhand assembly election.
"The problems will remain for a few days but it will help in improving the economic condition in the country," he said.
The BJP President also said that people who did not have black money were not unhappy over the currency spike that has triggered a cash chaos all across the country.
"It seems (some) leaders opposing the demonetisation drive have amassed black money, he added.
Shah urged the people to vote for the BJP to get rid of the "corrupt" Congress government.
