Hansal Mehta happy over Manoj Bajpayee's win
Mumbai, Nov 25 (IANS) : Filmmaker Hansal Mehta says he is happy with actor Manoj Bajpayee's win as Best Actor for his impactful performance in "Aligarh" at the 10th Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA).
Mehta tweeted on Thursday and said that it is a huge honour.
"Happy, happy! Manoj Bajpayee wins Best Actor at A P Screen Awards for his 'Aligarh' masterclass. A huge, huge honour. Manoj, I love you!" Hansal tweeted.
The actor won the award on Thursday in Brisbane, Australia for his performance in the film, based on the real life incident of Dr. Srinivas Ramchandra Siras. The event was hosted by Australian actor David Wenham and presenter Anjali Rao.
The 2016 edition of the awards marked the 10th year of APSA recognising and promoting cinematic excellence and cultural diversity of the growing film region - Asia Pacific.
