28% citizens yet to deposit old currency in a bank: Survey

Around 28 per cent of respondents are yet to deposit their old Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes in the bank and plan to do it before December 30, says a survey conducted by LocalCircles, a community engagement platform.
The survey was conducted across 150 cities in India in which over 8,000 citizens participated.
While 28 per cent indicated they were yet to deposit their old currency, approximately 60 percent indicated that they have already deposited their old currency in the bank.
Approximately 8 per cent people said they don't need or want to deposit the old notes while the remaining 4 per cent said they will be using the old notes where they are being accepted.
