'Sanam Teri Kasam' to be screened at film festival in Moscow
Mumbai, Dec 3: Actor Harshvardhan Rane's debut Bollywood film "Sanam Teri Kasam" will be showcased at the Bollywood Film Festival in Moscow.
The actor has been invited for the screening of the film by the organisers of the festival that commenced on November 30 and will conclude on December 7.
Besides "Sanam Teri Kasam", the festival, showcasing popular Indian movies for Russian viewers, includes superstar Shah Rukh Khan-starrer "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge", Salman Khan-starrer "Sultan" and the National-Award winning film "Dum Laga Ke Haisha", among many others.
"When I did South Indian films, I never expected anyone to recognise me outside of south of India. And when I did a film in Bollywood, I was pleasantly taken aback when people recognised me from 'Sanam Teri Kasam' in the South. And now the fact that Russian people are recognising me is a bigger and greater surprise," Harshvardhan said.
"My debut Bollywood film 'Sanam Teri Kasam' being screened with other epic films, including 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge', 'Sultan' and 'Fan', is certainly a very big surprise for me," Rane added.
"Sanam Teri Kasam", which released earlier this year, also starred Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane. The romantic film is directed by the duo Radhika Rao-Vinay Sapru.
