'Jayalalithaa's far-sightedness drew industry to Tamil Nadu'
Chennai, Dec 6: The late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa's far-sightedness drew industry to the state, Mallika Srinivasan, Chairman and CEO of Tractors and Farm Equipment Ltd (TAFE), said on Tuesday.
"Her (Jayalalithaa) dynamism and far-sightedness drew industry and investment to the state and the economic progress under her leadership has been very significant," Srinivasan said in a statement.
She said the AIADMK leader was one of the most visionary and charismatic leaders of Tamil Nadu.
"With her compassion, courage and focus on the welfare of women and the people of the state, she won millions of hearts and stood tall as a leader of the Tamil people," Srinivasan said.
Jayalalithaa breathed her last on Monday night at Apollo Hospitals here. She suffered a cardiac arrest earlier on Sunday.
