Arvind Swami to star in 'Bhaskar the Rascal' Tamil remake
Chennai, Dec 8: Last year's Malayalam hit "Bhaskar the Rascal", which featured Mammootty and Nayanthara in the lead roles, is all set to be remade in Tamil with actor Arvind Swami confirmed to play the lead.
"Arvind Swami has been officially signed. The official announcement will be made once the leading lady is finalised. The makers are currently busy finalising the rest of the cast and crew," a source close to Arvind told IANS.
Siddique, who helmed the original, will direct the remake too.
Arvind will play a business tycoon and a single parent in the film, which will go on the floors next year.
The "Roja" actor, meanwhile, awaits the release of Telugu actioner "Dhruva", in which he has played the antagonist.
Arvind has also started shooting for Tamil crime-comedy "Sathuranga Vettai 2", and he also has a yet-untitled project with director Selva in the offing.
