Rio de Janeiro, Jan 17 : Brazilian Serie A football club Atletico Goianiense have announced the disappearance of their coach Marcelo Cabo.
The club held a press conference on Monday confirming media reports that Gabo had not been seen since Sunday morning, reports Xinhua news agency.
"It's a difficult situation because he is close to all of us. I hope that this ends in the best way possible," Atletico Goianiense's football director Adson Batista said.
The police confirmed they were investigating the disappearance of the 50-year-old.
Atletico Goianiense returned to Brazil's top flight after winning the Serie B championship last year.
