Spain's Manolo Jimenez returns to coach AEK Athens FC
Athens, Jan 20: Spanish coach Manolo Jimenez has arrived in the city to seal the deal on his return as coach of the AEK Athens football club.
The Spaniard has already coached AEK Athens in 2010-11, in which the club finished third in the league and won the Greek Cup, reports Efe.
Jimenez, 52, was fired by AEK after the fourth round of the 2011-12 season and landed on the bench of Real Zaragoza, before moving to train Qatari side al-Rayyan between 2013 and 2015.
According to Greek media, Jimenez will initially sign up until the end of the season with the option of extending his contract for two more years.
He is the third coach to lead AEK since the start of this season, after Georgian Temur Ketsbaia and Portuguese Jose Morais.
