Trump demands vote on healthcare plan on Friday
Washington, March 24
US President Donald Trump on Thursday demanded that House Republicans vote on the bill to overturn and replace Obamacare before the weekend.
He said that the lawmakers should vote on the bill on Friday, EFE news reported.
According to Office of Management and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney, if the bill does not have enough support in Congress he is ready to move forward and leave the current healthcare system established by former President Barack Obama in place.
Mulvaney relayed the President's request to Republican lawmakers, who gathered in the afternoon after postponing the vote on the bill scheduled for Thursday when they could not agree on the contents of the proposal.
