MoU signed for low cost flights in TN
Chennai, June 8: The Tamil Nadu government and the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation on Thursday signed a MoU to implement low cost regional air connectivity in the state.
The Tamil Nadu government said the MoU was signed in the presence of Chief Minister K. Palaniswami. According to an official statement, the flight services in the first phase will be started for Hosur, Neyveli and Salem.
Under the central government's Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik (UDAN) scheme, small towns will be connected by air at low cost.
