Marquez named Las Palmas coach
Madrid, July 4: Spanish top division football club Las Palmas have named Manolo Marquez as their new first team coach.
Marquez replaced Quique Setien on Monday, who abandoned the club at the end of last season to take over at Betis, reports Xinhua news agency.
The Las Palmas website highlights that Marquez's grandfather was the President of Real Club Victoria, which is one of the five clubs which joined together to form the current side and he had previously commented that coaching Las Palmas was his "dream".
