Prominent people from India paid rich floral tribute to Gandhiji in Dallas, TX

Dallas, TX: Several prominent people from different walks of life from India paid rich floral tribute to Gandhiji in Dallas. Famous Singer and Music Director Dr. Vandemataram Srinivas, Prof. V. Durga Bhavani, Vice-Chancellor of Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalam (SPMVV), Tirupati and renowned Kuchipudi Dance Director and Guru Dr. K.V. Satyanarayana visited the largest Gandhi Memorial in USA located in Irving, TX and paid rich floral tribute to Gandhiji on July 9th, 2017.

Dr. Vandemataram Srinivas expressed that “it gives me an immense pleasure and happiness to see Gandhi statue in Dallas in a picturesque area next to a beautiful lake. I appreciate the efforts of Dr. Prasad Thotakura, Chairman of Mahatma Gandhi Memorial of North Texas (MGMNT), Rao Kalvala, Secretary and the entire team in building this elegant statue sculptured by Burra Varaprasad of Vijayawada”

Dr. Vandemataram also sang an inspirational song on Gandhiji.
Prof. V. Durga Bhavani, Vice-Chancellor, Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalam (SPMVV) appreciated the relentless efforts of Dr. Prasad Thotakura, the Chairman of Mahatma Gandhi Memorial of North Texas (MGMNT) for his leadership in building this great Gandhi Memorial in Dallas that inspires visitors from all cross sections globally. Prof. V. Durga Bhavani thanked Dr. Thotakura for donating personally 8 Lakhs worth of replica of the Gandhi Statue to Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalam that was unveiled by Hon. AP CM Sri. Nara Chandra Babu Naidu in January 2017. She stated that they are developing ‘Gandhi Square” with this statue in the University campus.

Nandi Award winner, a renowned Kuchipudi Dancer Guru Dr. K.V. Satyanarayana paid floral tribute to Gandhiji and stated “it is very significant to note the importance of peace and harmony in the world in the current crucial times. It is very refreshing to pay tribute to Gandhiji in USA who sacrificed his life for peace. I congratulate MGMNT Board of Directors Dr. Prasad Thotakura, Rao Kalvala, MVL Prasad and all supporters who worked hard in realizing the dream of the Indian American Community”.
