Many trapped in Mumbai building collapse
Mumbai, July 25: Many people have been trapped as two wings of a four-storey building collapsed in Ghatkopar here on Tuesday morning, an official said.
At least 14 fire engines, rescue vans and ambulances, besides teams of the state disaster management force, have rushed to the site, the BMC Disaster Control official said.
At least five victims trapped in the debris of the ill-fated Sai Darshan building have been extricated safely and a search is on for others, the official said.
State Housing Minister Prakash Mehta, senior officials of the BMC and others have rushed to the site to supervise rescue and relief operations.
