China to help Myanmar on swine flu outbreak
Beijing, Aug 5: The Chinese government is sending humanitarian aid to Myanmar to prevent the spread of the H1N1 influenza, the Ministry of Commerce has said.
The ministry will work with other government departments to offer disease control supplies that Myanmar is in urgent need of in the shortest time possible, Xinhua news agency reported on Friday.
Since July 21, the outbreak of H1N1 flu in Myanmar has caused 13 deaths.
Myanmar's parliamentarians have put forward a motion urging the government to carry out an extensive awareness campaign against the spread of the epidemic.
