Police officer shot at in J&K
Srinagar, Aug 28: Militants on Monday shot at and critically injured a junior level police officer in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag town.
Abdul Rashid, an assistant sub-inspector of police (ASI), was shot at from close range, a police official said.
"The ASI was immediately shifted to the district hospital in Anantnag. Doctors there referred him to Srinagar," police said.
The area where the shooting took place was cordoned off for searches.
