Caen enter French Cup semis
Paris, March 2: Caen recorded a surprising 1-0 home win against five-time winners Lyon, setting up a French Cup semi-final clash with holders Paris Saint-Germain in April.
On Thursday, Caen resisted the visitors' advantage in possession, before moving ahead in the 77th minute as midfielder Ismael Diomande headed home a Stef Peeters free kick, Xinhua news agency reported.
Caen secured a berth in French Cup semi-finals for the first time in the club's history. They are set to meet a much tougher challenge in the upcoming fixture against three-time defending champions Paris Saint-Germain.
