IALI Celebrates Mother’s Day with dazzling Fashion Show

India Association of Long Island (IALI) held their highly anticipated Mother’s Day celebration at the CotillionRestaurant in Long Island on Friday May 4, 2018. This Mother’s Day function was organized by
the IALI Women’s Forum group chaired by Mrs. Veena Lamba,Co-Chaired by Mrs. Lalita Mansukhani and Mrs. Shalini Pawa, andCommittee members Ms. Rizwana Malik, Mrs Rachna Shahdadpuri andMrs. Ravi Kanta Dutta.

The event was attended by an overwhelming crowd of members and their families who came to enjoy the beautiful fashion show hosted by mothers in the organization and was absolutely the highlight of the program. There were two segmentsof fashion show–a Clothing Display and Jewelry Display by Jewels Galleria.These segments were choreographed by Mrs. Veena Lamba and Mrs. Shalini Pawa respectively, with full support of Mrs. Jyoti Gupta as the Event Advisor.Veena Lamba the women’s forum chair said “The reason for this fashion show to be done by Mothers and Grandmothers was to show how great women look at every stage of their life.”

The Fashion show was followed by a beautiful and skillful Bharatanatyam performance and singing of Ave Maria by Mathy Pillai. Salil Zaveri and his team from Salil Zaveri Insurance gave very informative talk on Life Insurance following the performance.

To add icing to the top of this great event- there was Mother’s Day Cake which was enjoyed by all the model momssince they were on strict diet preparing for the fashion show!Guests also enjoyed the shopping & vendors which included Meenu Kumar Creation’s beautiful outfits, lovely jewelry by Raji, scented soy candles by Shallu, and home-sales by Dhiraj Pawa a real estate agent.

President Mrs. Gunjan Rastogi concluded her speech by dedicating the following lines for all the mother.“To the World you are a Mother but, to your Family you are the World“
