Sri Preston Kulkarni wins Democratic nomination for Texas Congressional District 22

"Thank you for your incredible support. We would not be here tonight without the combined efforts of hundreds of volunteers and the thousands of doors knocks, phone calls, texts, and outreach poured into this campaign. Over the past several months, we have captured the attention of voters throughout District 22 with an optimistic, positive message of compassion, reason, and decency. Tonight, I'm humbled and proud to be your first Asian American nominee in the history of Texas' 22nd Congressional District. But I am most proud of the ever-growing connections within and among our diverse communities that have brought us here and will lead us to victory in November.

As we look ahead, let us remember what is at stake this fall. We are fighting for the students who fear gun terror in their schools; we are fighting for immigrant families who are seeking the American Dream; we are fighting for the teachers and everyday heroes struggling to support their families.
