Bolivar fail to advance to Libertadores quarters
La Paz, May 25: Club Bolivar were eliminated from the Copa Libertadores group B, despite defeating Ecuador's Delfin S.C. 2-1.
Bolivar will have the consolation of qualifying for the Copa Sudamericana after placing third in the group, behind Atletico Nacional and Colo-Colo, reports Efe.
The Bolivians were eliminated due to their inferior goal difference after matching Colo-Colo's tally of eight points.
Juan Miguel Callejon scored two goals for Bolivar, while Delfin's solitary effort came courtesy of Ronald Raldes' own goal.
