Budding cager Khushi roped in by ASA Miami

Budding cager Khushi Dongre has been roped in by ASA Miami, a statement said.
On Wednesday, ASA Miami's women's basketball team coach Kevin Johnson announced the signing of 18-year-old Khushi who hails from Aurangabad in Maharashtra.
"Over the last couple of months of getting to know Khushi, she is always happy and so grateful for the opportunity to come here and play basketball in the US. The meaning of her name means happiness and she definitely exemplifies happiness in her," Johnson said.
Khushi was a part of the Indian team for the 2017 U-16 women's Asian Championship Division B. She also participated in the NBA Academies women's programme held at The NBA Academy India in May 2018 and again in January 2019.
She earned the Best Teammate Award at the 2018 camp and took home the Coaches Award at the 2019 camp.
The NBA Academies Women's Programme, which was launched in February 2018, is a series of basketball development camps for top female prospects from outside the US.
Khushi was also selected to represent India in the 5th edition of the FIBA 3x3 U-18 Asia Cup, which was played in Malaysia from August 22-24. India finished 13th in the tournament which was won by Japan.
