Mohit Kumar promoted to Account Manager at one of the world’s largest oilfield service companies

A seasoned oil and gas industry professional, Mohit Kumar was recently promoted from Project Manager to Account Manager for a world oilfield service company leader recognized for leading-edge technology.Mohit was named Account Manager after less than one year since he started his previous role for this company as Integration Project Manager when he relocated from India to Alaska. The position capitalizes on Mr. Kumar’s unique expertise in building and executing value-based commercial models to deliver cutting-edge technological solutions in the Oil and Gas industry.
In this new role, he is responsible for the growth of his organization in Alaska.Mohit brings 14 years of experience in oil and gas drilling and workover operations in onshore and offshore environments. Throughout his career, he has had frequent increases in levels of responsibility. Starting as a field engineer in India, he has worked as a senior well engineer, operation support manager, integration project manager, and business development manager. Some of his accomplishments include spearheading 10 business lines to lead the company’s Integration work for one of the major drilling and completion projects in Alaska. He also led a Project Team in India to deliver close to 100 oil and gas wells in extremely challenging fields known for huge sub-surface risks. For this, he received multiple awards from his Company’s leadership. As a Business Development Manager in a previous role, Mohit was responsible for the company’s commercial success in Integrated tenders worth more than $ 550 million USD.
Under his leadership, his company’s market share in integrated operations increased from 40 percent to 70 percent.As a senior well engineer, he implemented various performance initiatives to improve well times and reduce invisible lost times, from an average of 45 days/well to 20 days / well. This helped the company save an additional $ 960,000 per well. Mohit’s methodology in managing multidimensional constraints to drill ERD wells with a high Directional Difficulty Index was published in the prestigious Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Journal. In addition to being an active member of SPE, he is a certified PMI project manager. Mohit earned his Bachelor of Technology in Petroleum Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (ISM).
