Washington, DC, July 23 :
Vice President Kamala Harris drew attention to the divergence between Trump's goals and her own for the future of the United States, claiming that the former president wishes to regress the nation. Harris made a triumphant announcement on social media, claiming that she had won the party's support for the next election and that she will defeat Donald Trump.

Harris acknowledged the critical role played by her home state's delegation and celebrated the widespread support that helped propel her campaign to victory. I vowed I would work hard to get this nomination when I declared my candidacy for president. As a native Californian, I am especially pleased that my campaign received the overwhelming support it needed to become our party's nominee, and I am also pleased that the delegation from my home state contributed to our victory. "I am excited about the nomination and want to officially accept it soon," Harris stated.

She thanked President Joe Biden and the Democratic Party for their support and promised to present her argument to the American people in person. Harris argued that, in contrast to Trump, "this election will present a clear choice between two different visions." Many of us enjoyed complete liberties and equal rights before Donald Trump wanted to return our nation to that era. I have faith in a future where our democracy is fortified, reproductive freedom is safeguarded, and every individual is given the chance to thrive, not merely survive.

The future of the Democratic Party and the country were discussed by Harris as she laid out her plans. "Over the next few months, I will be traveling across the country, discussing with Americans everything that is on the line," she stated, reiterating her resolve to beat Trump in November. Democratic leaders have laid out a strategy that calls for delegates to approve Harris as their candidate by August 7.

A coordinated effort by Democrats to unite around a candidate who can take on Trump in the next election cycle is evident in the widespread endorsement of Harris. At what promises to be a watershed moment at the Democratic National Convention, Harris will likely receive the party's official endorsement as its nominee, strengthening her hand as we approach the general election.

Harris has run on a platform of Democratic unity and shared values, with the goal of forming a coalition that can meet the nation's challenges and achieve its dreams. In a nationwide address scheduled for this week, President Biden will affirm his intention to finish his term. If the Democratic nomination were to go to Harris, she would be the first person of Asian American descent and Black woman to head the presidential ticket of a major party.

There have been no major opponents to Biden since he decided not to run for reelection. The unprecedented amount of USD 81 million raised by Harris's campaign in the first 24 hours highlights the immense support she has received.
