US-India Strategic Partnership Forum Announces Third INDUS-X Summit with Emphasis on Defense Sector

The India-US Defense Acceleration Ecosystem (INDUS-X) Summit, co-hosted by the Hoover Institution and Stanford University's Gordian Knot Center for National Security Innovation, will take place on September 9th and 10th, 2024, according to the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum.

The summit's overarching subject, "Harnessing Investment Opportunities to Enhance Cross-Border Defense Innovation Ecosystems," will center on the importance of private funding for the advancement of defense innovation.

"Strengthening US-India defence innovation!," the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum shared on X. The India-US Defense Acceleration Ecosystem (INDUS-X) Summit, in partnership with the Hoover Institution and Stanford University's Gordian Knot Center for National Security Innovation, is proud to announce its third iteration.

At the summit, senior defense officials from both India and the United States will meet to strengthen ties in the field of defense innovation.

"The summit will bring together leading defence policymakers from Washington and New Delhi to strengthen advanced technology partnerships in defence innovation," according to the article.

It added, "The summit will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, and roundtable sessions with leaders from both the private and the public sectors touching on themes along the lines of strengthening defence advance technology partnerships, funding defence innovation, and resilient supply chains."

Attendees at the event will likely include Bay Area tech workers, academics, accelerators, and venture capital organizations.

"A state-of-the-art, INDUS-X Tech Expo, will showcase cutting-edge technologies and innovations from defence and aerospace startups and companies, in an event, that will draw venture capital firms, academics, accelerators, and tech professionals from the Bay Area," according to the article.
