At a ceremony at Dehradun's Wellham Girls' School, the US Embassy in India informed pupils about study abroad programs and how to apply for student visas. Attendees at the event hosted by Education USA included a number of US-based counselors and visa officers. Pavan Rajgopal, a visa officer at the US Embassy, stated that the goal is to increase the number of Indian students who study in the US.
In an interview with ANI, Rajgopal expressed his desire to see more Indian students come to the US for higher education. We granted 140,000 student visas to Indian nationals in the past year. Up until now, that has been our highest point here. That's more than any nation on Earth. Furthermore, we anticipate an ever-increasing influx of Indian students pursuing undergraduate degrees in the United States.
"So we want to provide good information to the students so they can pick the school that is appropriate for their academic interests," according to him. He went on to say that the embassy has gotten a lot of positive feedback and that the United States will give these kids invaluable work experience.

More than 4,500 educational institutions across a wide range of disciplines welcome applications from prospective overseas students. The Visa Officer expressed their belief that the students have truly valued the chance to attend this school, which would equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in the competitive job market of today.
According to Aastha Virk Singh, a senior advisor at EducationUSA, all the necessary details on programs, scholarships, and application preparation for US universities are being provided by the officials. Plus, there are more than 4,00 accredited schools in the United States, she said.
