Prayer Ceremony at Mahalakshmi Temple Marks Kamala Harris’s 60th Birthday

On October 20, a special prayer ritual was held at the Mahalakshmi Temple in Ashland, Massachusetts to mark Kamala Harris's 60th birthday. The Mahalakshmi Temple in Massachusetts is both a vast and ancient temple.

Many well-wishers from all throughout the United States, including important states like Michigan and Pennsylvania, sent their best wishes for Harris's health and leadership. Ramesh V. Kapur, President of the U.S.-India Security Council, and G. Balachandran, Kamala's uncle, were among those who participated virtually.

Alagesan, a priest from the temple, presided over the ceremony, which included Pramit Maakoday, Priya Samant, Ranjani Saigal, and Tanishka Indorekar, a young activist. The turnout was indicative of the general public's optimism in Harris's chances of making history in the next election.
