November 27 :
An entrepreneur of Indian descent living in the United States has taken to social media to demand assistance, claiming that his 64-year-old father is the victim of a plot to steal his property in Varanasi. Pesto Tech's co-founder and CEO, Ayush Jaiswal, claimed that local authorities did not do enough to address his allegations of harassment and unlawful occupation against a cousin.

Written on X (previously Twitter), Jaiswal expressed her anguish at witnessing her father's struggle at the hands of thugs attempting to seize his property as the police ostentatiously turn a blind eye. She is currently in the United States. The shop that Jaiswal's father owned in Varanasi's bustling Maldahiya district is at the center of the incident.

Jaiswal claims that a cousin of an ex-employee broke into the building, changed the locks, and threatened other relatives. According to Jaiswal, the armed man has been making subtle threats for a while now. On November 24, 2024, Jaiswal informed the police that he had formally reported concerns about his father's safety and property. Regardless, he said that the police first did nothing.

Nevertheless, the Uttar Pradesh Police have verified the filing of a First Information Report (FIR) in response to his extensively shared social media post.

A family conflict involving the complainant's sister's son and property is at the heart of this matter. An investigation has been initiated following the registration of a FIR. The Kashi Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) announced on their official X account that actions will be made according to merit.

Although Jaiswal expressed gratitude to the police for filing the FIR, he restated his reservations. My father has been the target of this person's persistent harassment and attempts to extort money. He threatened him and cornered him, and I have recordings of it.

With most of his family far away, Jaiswal's elderly father lives alone and is particularly vulnerable, as he detailed in his post.A need for assistance! Despite my having all the necessary paperwork and evidence of no misconduct, he claimed that my father was the one who was harassed.

With the words, "We've been so happy to see the positive changes in Varanasi over the years, but these hooligans should have no place," the entrepreneur brought attention to larger troubles. Lots of people are talking about this occurrence online, and they want the government to step in and make sure justice is served.
