Allu Arjun Faces Charges Over Fatal Stampede Outside Hyderabad Theatre During 'Pushpa 2' Premiere

December 5 :
On Thursday, authorities announced that Telugu star Allu Arjun will face charges related to the stampede that occurred outside a Hyderabad theatre on Wednesday, killing one woman. Arjun had attended the premiere of his film "Pushpa 2: The Rule" without prior notification.

Sandhya Theatre's administration is also facing charges for failing to take "additional provisions regarding security to manage the crowd"—a failure that will be mentioned alongside the actor. Up to the report's filing, neither Mr. Arjun nor the theater's management had responded immediately. According to a statement by CV Anand, the Hyderabad Police Commissioner, "there was no intimation from the side of theatre management or actors team that they will be visiting the theatre..."

The performer and his crew were known to the theater administration, but according to the top cop, they were not given special treatment.
At Wednesday evening's showing, a 35-year-old mother passed away and her nine-year-son was hospitalized owing to asphyxiation as a result of the enormous crowd that rushed to see Mr. Arjun, who had come with music director Devi Sri Prasad.

The main gate of the theater reportedly collapsed as the crowd surged forward, forcing security guards to use lathi charge in order to subdue the throng. The stampede became lethal despite attempts to keep order. The mother was named Revathi, and the son was named Teja. As of right now, Teja is receiving care for what is likely a severe situation. Following the occurrence, the family has demanded an explanation from the actor and held threatre management to account. They have also asked Mr. Arjun to back them up.

The woman's relatives filed a complaint, and the police have since opened an investigation under many sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. "Stringent action as per law will be taken against all the persons responsible for the chaotic situation inside the theatre leading to the death of a person and injury to others," the chief law enforcement officer stated.
