Groom Returns Dowry Given by Bride’s Family During Wedding Ceremony
A groom returned the dowry given by the bride’s family during the wedding ceremony. The incident took place on February 14 in Karaliya village, Rajasthan. Reports state that the groom, 30-year-old Paramveer Rathod from Pali, refused to accept the dowry.

Paramveer Rathod arrived at the bride, Nikita Bhati’s, home on horseback. He was warmly welcomed by her family with grand celebrations. After the traditional Tilak ceremony, the bride’s family started presenting gifts.

During this, the bride’s father handed over a ceremonial tray wrapped in red cloth, which contained ₹5,51,000. However, Rathod immediately spoke with the father and, without disrupting the wedding rituals, returned the money to the bride’s family.
