Two Malayalis executed in the UAE; Sentenced for murder.

The UAE has informed the Indian Ministry of External Affairs that the execution of two Malayalis has been carried out. Muhammad Rinash Arangilot and Muralidharan Perumthattu Valappil were the ones executed. The UAE authorities informed the Indian Embassy of this on February 28. Both were sentenced to death in the UAE for murder.

The Ministry of External Affairs stated that the embassy had provided all possible consular and legal assistance, including filing mercy petitions and appeals for clemency. The execution was carried out following the UAE's highest court upholding the death sentence, as per the authorities' communication.

Muhammad Rinash was sentenced to death for the murder of an Emirati citizen. Muralidharan was convicted in a case involving the murder of an Indian citizen. The Ministry of External Affairs informed their families about the execution. The central government also confirmed that arrangements were made to facilitate their relatives' participation in the final rites.
